Rasha Yehia


Although she has studied montage, she preferred to work as a director, for she loves direction and she has a leading character on the one hand, and on the other hand she believes that studying montage lends the director many experiences that he needs. That is Rasha yehia.

Rasha graduated in the High Institute for cinema and received training at the hands of many great directors like (Atef Altayeb, Ahmed Alnahas and Yehia Alalamy). She commenced her career by assisting in the direction of a T.V series called (Alzeni Barakat) in addition to her assistance in the direction of a number of dramas for some private channels.

On 1996, Rasha started working for (A.R.T) in channel one where she assisted in many programs such as (Cinema Arkam, Khamsa Oscar). She also participated in the coverage of Cairo International Film Festival for more than a year.
Then on 1999, she worked as a 1st director-assistant in the department of on air programs where she assisted in directing all the programs of the famous presenter “Hala Sarhan”.

Rasha is currently directing many programs for “Ain alawael” channel, some of which are: “ La ara la asmaa la atakalam” “Alqadeya lam tohsam baad”. And for “Iqraa” channel she directs “Fatawa Alnesaa” “Nesaa Mobdeat” and “Nedaat Alrahman”.

Having directed many “on air” programs, Rasha faced many hard experiences of which she remembers one: during an episode of “la ara la asmaa la atakalam” the two guests kept arguing throughout the intermissions and as soon as they were back on air, they talked peacefully as if nothing has happened.

Although Rasha hasn’t directed any cinema works, she still doesn’t want to do that because it requires a lot of time and effort, something that is inconsistent with her family life which is on the top of her priorities.
