It is rare to find someone with the sincerity, energy and enthusiasm of Moez Masoud. In his mid 20’s Moez runs his own advertising agency, and is a top presenter for the leading Arabic television broadcaster (ART) in the Middle East.

Within moments of coming into contact with Moez there is something… a difference… a mysterious element that attracts curiosity… Moez’s confidence infers a level of certainty about his purpose in life, which he neither hides, nor approaches in a vain manner.

His dedication to Islam was not always the case. Back in 1995 he would never have in his wildest dreams imagined himself as a presenter for a dynamic Islamic television program reaching millions and spanning several major global regions.

Did you even imagine there would be a day where life would change 180 degrees?

Kuwait…

‘Literally Completely Lost…’ is the expression Moez uses in his biography with hadeer.com. Living in Kuwait, living for the moment, living in a family that is not overly religious and living for the popularity while maintaining straight A’s…

Cairo 1995…

‘The A’s flipped away and the partying was there to stay, Time to date seriously and party even harder…’ Alcohol… drugs… Losing a best friend in a car crash, having had several near death experiences shortly after, Living in Egypt, the singer and guitarist of an up and rising Rock band… but suddenly seriously aware of the value of life, and contemplating relationship with God…

The Prayer 1996…

“If one does not change after learning about death nothing will change him… “This is it… God can simply take my life at any point… I have no excuse”. Somewhere within the fear of near death experiences and the events of a ‘for the moment’ lifestyle, Moez finds himself on his knees searching for Allah, searching for a purpose… He recites a prayer asking God to end his life should he ever commit any of the greater sins again… ‘You take one step towards Allah and he takes ten steps towards you…’ Twelve months later his friends had noticed him as a new ‘Moez’, the same friendly Moez but different. He no longer drank and he knew the Quran by heart!

Progress…

In July 2000, Moez was awarded his Bachelor’s degree and moved to the USA undertaking an internship with a Multinational. After 4 months he returned to Egypt but he received an invitation from a community in Rochester to spend Ramadan leading the prayer in their mosque, and teaching the youth about Islam and the Quran.

Current…

Founder and Partner in a successful Multimedia Advertising Agency, Presenter for ART, Conferences in U.S.A, Production in Cairo, Seminars in Malaysia, Professional Invitations to Australia…

After the successful launch of ‘Net Guide’ (an initiative undertaken by Moez's advertising agency), ART administration contacted him for the role of presenter in their new talk show.

Moez is a firm believer that the Quran is the neglected miracle of the 21st century. This belief was his drive to embark on the show with the hope of introducing young Muslims throughout the world to this miracle and in an attempt to reach the hearts and minds of the younger generation of English speaking Muslims by using a dynamic and intense talkback format:

"The Quran is the Word of God here on the planet for us now. Once that becomes clear, NOTHING beats the joy the self finds in reading the Quran. It's literally a trip. It's a high you get when you realize that He is speaking to you NOW, when you know you can see the end from where you are standing, when you are not afraid to die (and we ALL know what that's like deep inside), and when you feel ready for the afterlife.

Let's never give up on a state where ALL our desires are being quenched ETERNALLY, a state that we are looking for on earth – but not finding. A place where happiness increases BY THE DAY, where there's no fear of it ending, no death, no guilt trips… LET'S NOT GIVE UP ON PARADISE!

“And ULTIMATELY, let's never give up on seeing Allah's face, seeing our Maker. When creation meets Creator, finally. That is the ultimate bliss and a moment to be contemplated… a moment to be worked for.”*

Moez would love to hear your comments via Email and be sure to stay tuned to Parables in the Quran coming soon to ART in 2003!
